WANG Shuchen’s Experiences in Treating Bronchiectasis[J]. Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2017, 58(8): 647-650.DOI: 10.13288/j.11-2166/r.2017.08.005.
This article is to introduce Professor WANG Shuchen’ s experiences in treating bronchiectasis. Prof.WANG holds that the basic pathogenesis is imbalance between Qi and fire due to deficiency of primordial Qi and Yin fire endogenesis. Prof. WANG advocates treating both manifestation and root cause of disease and treating by stages. In the early and acute stage
clearing heat-phlegm is applied to relieve lung and expel phlegm. As for suppuration
promoting pus discharge and toxin-expelling is applied. As for acute hemoptysis
clearing heat and cooling blood for hemostasis is applied; with dyspnea
dispelling pathogenic wind for resolving convulsion and relieving asthma is applied. In the remittent stage
aiming at the root cause
invigorating primordial Qi and invigorating spleen for dissipating phlegm are applied. Qi and Yin are both treated; and Yin and Yang are both invigorated.
