This article is to introduce Professor WANG Xingkuan’ s experience in treating Sjogren syndrome.Prof. WANG holds that Sjogren syndrome onset is mostly due to lack of innate endowment

and also lack of acquired health maintenance

which leads to liver and kidney deficiency

excess of fire caused by insufficiency of water

ministerial fire and sovereign fire exuberance and frenetic movement. Thus signs of dryness（ water deficiency without moist and fire hyperactivity cauterization） appear. As for treatment

Prof. WANG advocates that " strengthening governor of water for restraining hyperactivity of Yang"

nourishing yin-essence of liver-kidney

clearing dryness-fire of body

and moistening the dryness of Zang-fu viscera. Moreover

Prof. WANG proposes mainly treating one or two Zang viscera

and also considering regulating other Zang viscera. Lung

spleen and stomach should be regulated at the same time in treatment. Liver-wood conveyance

dispersion and regulation should not be forgotten.
