Professor XIA Guicheng holds that premature ovarian insufficiency(POI) is owing to the dysfunction of heart-kidney-uterus axis and disharmony between heart and kidney. The cause of POI is deficiency of kidney-yin
gui-water(癸水) premature depletion
while it is closely related to heart. POI onset is mostly due to patients’ chronic mental stress leading to disquieted heart-mind
flaring up of heart fire
heart-blood ying-yin hidden consuming.A long time
kidney-yin is more and more deficient
which cannot produce essence
transform marrow and nourish heart-mind. A vicious cycle leads to POI. Menstrual cycle rhythm regulation method should be combined
treating from heart and kidney. The first and important is to treat heart
clearing heart-fire
nourishing heart-yin to lower heart-fire first. "Heart tranquillization "could bring "kidney enrichment ". Intercourse between heart and kidney makes premature depletion tiangui(天癸) renascence
re-establish Yin-Yang balance of heart-kidney-uterus axis and restore normal reproductive endocrine
