is most commonly used in the treatment of various rheumatic immune diseases
but also is one of the herbs with most reported adverse reactions. The author put forward the theory of "heterogeneous restriction"based on the traditional Chinese medicine compatibility principle
which is that the toxicity of toxic herbs can be reduced or removed by regulating and restraining the toxicity through compatibility with Chinese herbs with different properties
flavors and actions. Based on a series of studies on"heterogeneous restriction"theory
the modern biological mechanism of detoxicity effect of the compound prescription of TWHF was explored on the basis of clinical practice
and the scientific connotation of "heterogeneous restriction"theory was deeply interpreted
providing ideas for the clinical safe and rational application of toxic Chinese herbs such as TWHF.
