The current status of the application of the clinical evaluation scale of traditional Chinese medicine( TCM) is sorted out and analyzed. It was found that the current TCM efficacy evaluation based on the scale lacked a unified standard. The syndrome integral scale had drawbacks in statistical evaluation
and some scales lacked the characteristics of TCM
and were not being closely integrated with the clinical practice. This paper put forward the idea of constructing the TCM comprehensive syndrome scale
so as to systematically and comprehensively evaluate and record the syndromes of various dimensions from the perspective of the holistic view of TCM
and introduce visual analogue scale to quantify the scale.
