Colorectal precancerous lesions mainly include colorectal adenoma and inflammatory bowel disease. The traditional Chinese medicine( TCM) theory of colorectal precancerous lesions was discussed in this paper
and it pointed out that pathogenesis was improper diet
emotional frustration
external evil invasion and inadequate natural endowment
and the basic etiology was spleen qi deficiency
dampness and turbidity stasis toxin blocking the intestinal tract. The main pathological factors were cancer toxin
damp turbidity
and blood stasis
and basic therapeutic principle was strengthening the body resistance to eliminate pathogenic factors
taking the therapy of tonifying qi and invigorating spleen as core and dissipating dampness
removing blood stasis and removing toxicity as integrated treatment. The pathological factors and treatment were different in different types of colorectal precancerous lesions
so the pathological factors and treatment were different. Specifically
the main pathological factor of colorectal adenoma was cancer toxin
accompanied with blood stasis
which was primarily treated with removing blood stasis and eliminating stagnation. The main pathological factor of inflammatory bowel disease was cancer toxin
accompanied with damp turbidity
which was primarily treated with dissipating dampness and dispelling turbidity.
