This paper introduced LI Fazhi’ s thinking of syndrome differentiation from three aspects: combining disease differentiation with syndrome differentiation

syndrome differentiation and selecting prescriptions according to syndrome

and guiding syndrome differentiation with specific symptoms. Accurate syndrome differentiation and accurate prescription are emphasized to achieve curative effect of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation and treatment. It is advocated that specific symptoms should be grasped accurately in syndrome differentiation

so as to seek a high degree of consistency between the prescriptions and syndromes

and to quickly and effectively combine the disease with the prescription

and then to accurately treat the disease according to syndrome differentiation. Through summarizing the specific treatment of recurrent oral ulcer

insomnia

palpitations

cough that aggravated when lying down

edema of double lower limbs with anonymous causes and other specific symptoms

the characteristic features of specific syndrome differentiation are reflected

such as strong practicality

simplicity and high efficiency.
