Objective To observe the clinical effect of modified Ximin Decoction（ 息敏煎） on the allergic rhinitis of deficiency cold of lung and kidney syndrome and the influence on the immune factor Th1/Th2/Treg/Th17 balance. Methods Totally 100 cases of allergic rhinitis were randomly divided into treatment group and control group

50 cases in each. The treatment group was given modified Ximin Decoction one dose each day

while the control group was given flixonase nasal spray and/or loratadine tablets

once a day

all patients were treated for 30 days.Scores of clinical symptom score and RQLQ were counted before and after treatment

and the levels of IL-4

IL-5 and IL-17 were significantly decreased（ P <0. 05）

while significant change of those factors were found between groups（ P < 0. 05）. Conclusion Modified Ximin Decoction could release nasal and systemic symptoms in treating allergic rhinitis of deficiency cold of lung and kidney and the action might be related to regulating cellular immunity imbalance of Th1/Th2/Treg/Th17.
