Objective To explore an evaluation index system and scoring system suitable for evaluating appropriate techniques of traditional Chinese medicine( TCM). Methods Following the principles of systemicity
independence
comparability and dynamics
the evaluation indicators and the connotations of each index were determined through literature search and expert meeting discussions. Using the analytic hierarchy process
the weights of each index were determined by establishing a hierarchical index comparison judgment matrix
and the consistency of the index weights is tested. On this basis
the weights of the second-level indicators were calculated
and the complete index weights were obtained. Finally
experts determined the scoring standards for each indicator and established a complete screening and evaluation system for TCM appropriate techniques. Results Totally 5 first-level indicators of effectiveness
safety
technicality
economy and suitability and 17 second-level indictors of simplicity
skill requirements
maturity
standardization level
equipment requirements
efficacy
effectiveness
adverse reaction rate
adverse reaction intensity
organization cost
patient cost
appropriate promotion
doctor acceptance
ethical acceptance
patient acceptance
institutional acceptance and morbidity were screened out
and the connotation of each indicator was clarified. The weight of each of the first-level and second-level indicators and the combined weight of the second-level indicators were calculated. The weights of the first-level indicators were 0. 40 for effectiveness
0. 30 for safety
0. 08 for technicality
0. 15 for economy
and 0. 07 for suitability. The indicators were given a scoring standard of 1 to 5 points. Conclusion A screening and evaluation system for TCM appropriate technology including 5 first-level indicators of effectiveness
safety
technicality
economy and suitability and 17 second-level indicators is constructed
and the weights of indicators and specific scoring standards are formulated.
