Objective To observe the effects of five tone respiratory exercises on pulmonary function and quality of life in patients with stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease( COPD). Methods Totally 72 patients of stable COPD were divided into a treatment group and a control group
with 36 cases in each group. Patients of the control group received original western medicine treatment plan. Additionally
the treatment group was given five-tone respiratory exercises rehabilitation training. Both groups were treated for 8 weeks. Modified Version of the British Medical Research Council Respiratory Questionaire( m MRC)
pulmonary function
6 minute walking test( 6 MWT)
index of BODE
the scores of life quality were observed before and after treatment in the 2 groups. Meanwhile
the adverse events were observed. Results Compared with before treatment
m MRC scale
index of BODE and the scores of life quality were reduced
and the 6 MWT
pulmonary function were improved significantly in the treatment group( P < 0. 05). The differences in each index in the control group after treatment were not statistically significant( P >0. 05). No significant adverse events occurred in both groups. Conclusion The five-tone respiratory exercises rehabilitation training can reduce the degree of dyspnea
improve pulmonary function
activity endurance and quality of life with stable COPD
