Objective To observe the clinical effects of DengueⅠ Formula combined with western medicine conventional therapy on the patients of dengue fever with damp heat accumulation type. Methods A total of 81 patients with damp heat accumulation type of dengue fever were randomly divided into a treatment group(41 cases) and a control group(40 cases). The control group was treated with conventional western medicine
and the treatment group was treated with DengueⅠ Formula based on the control group. Both groups were treated for 5 to 7 days. Follow-up visit was carried out for 3 days to observe the antipyretic time
the disappearing time of the symptoms and signs
and the results of blood routine indicators and to evaluate the clinical efficacy. Results The antipyretic time in the treatment group was(2.45±1.53) days
and the disappearance time of symptoms and signs was(4.70±1.11) days; the antipyretic time in the control group was(3.23±2.21) days
and the disappearance time of symptoms and signs was(5.96±0.76) days. The antipyretic time and the time of the symptoms disappear in the treatment group was shorter those that in the control group(P<0.05). The recovery of leukocyte and lymphocyte counts in the treatment group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05). The clinical total effective rate of the treatment group was 92.7%
higher than that of the control group 85.0%(P<0.05). Conclusion The combination of DengueⅠ Formula and western medicine conventional therapy can effectively improve the clinical efficacy and increase white blood cell and lymphocyte counts
