Shared decision-making research has been carried out for more than ten years. There is still a lack of practical model and process research on shared decision-making in specific clinical situations in China. The implementation of shared decision-making requires not only doctors with narrative ability as decision-making participants and decision-making counselors
but also the application of evidence-based medicine theories and methods to find the best combination of clinical evidence
personal values
doctors′ experience and skills
and clinical situations point. This paper introduces the 4 elements of shared decision-making and discusses the relationship between evidence-based
narrative medicine and shared decision-making. Taking the prevention and treatment of stable angina pectoris of coronary heart disease with Chinese and western medicine as an example
the three modules of shared decision-making are constructed based on narrative and evidence-based medicine theories and methods
including the use of decision manuals
nurse-patient decision support meetings
and doctor-patient decision-making meetings. And we propose specific models and the process
and conduct exploratory practice of shared decision-making.
