Objective To observe the expression of flotillin-1(FLOT1) in the breast glandular tissues in patients with adenosis of breast
and the effects of Kangfuxin Liquid on its expression. Methods In the inventive
observative study
96 normal breast specimens collected from tissue bank of the department of pathology were set as blank control group
and 96 patients with adenosis of breast were set as adenosis group
in which Kangfuxin Liquid was orally administered
10 ml each time
three times a day
for one year. Radioimmuno precipitation and western blotting were used to detect the expression of FLOT1 in the breast glandular tissues of patients in adenosis group and that of breast specimens in the blank control group before and after treatment. FLOT1 gene detection positive rate
as well as the breast color doppler ultrasound score before and after treatment in the adenosis group before treatment were compared. Results The breast color doppler ultrasound score was significantly lower after one-year treatment compared to that before treatment(P<0.05). The expression of FLOT1 protein and gene intensity score in adenosis group before treatment were higher than those in the blank control group(P<0.05 or P<0.01). There was no statistical differences between two groups in expression of FLOT1 protein after treatment(P>0.05). The positive rate of FLOT1 gene detection in adenosis group was 43.75% after treatment
significantly lower than 97.92% before treatment(P<0.01). Conclusion Oral administration of Kangfuxin Liquid could increase color doppler ultrasound score and inhibit the over-expression of FLOT1 in the glandular tissue.
