Damp-heat toxin accumulation is the core syndrome during the active stage of rheumatoid arthritis (RA), often presenting with high disease activity, rapidly progressive joint erosion, and multi-organ damage, directly affecting disease prognosis. Following the standard formulation procedures of the China Association of Chinese Medicine, methods including systematic literature review, Delphi method, analytic hierarchy process, and diagnostic tests were used, combined with multiple rounds of expert discussion and evaluation, to establish diagnostic and syndrome evaluation criteria for damp-heat toxin accumulation syndrome in RA. These criteria provide standardized references for clinical diagnosis of RA and support precise clinical decision-making.
