Purpose: To observe on the action of Qu Yu Xiao Ban Capsules on atherosclerotic plaque of different types. Methods: 62 cases who were diagnosed definitely to have peripheral atherosclerotic plaque were divided according to types of the plaque into 4 groups

lipoidal. fiber lipoidal. calcific type and ulcerous type plaque. They were treated with Qu Yu Xiao Ban Capsules and the effect on acoustic density of the plague was investigated. Results: The acoustic density of the plaque of different types increased with prolongation of treatment time
