80 cases of primary hepatic cancer at metaphase or advanced stage were divided into a TCM group（n= 20）

an intervention-chemotherapy group（n=30）and a TCM plus intervention-chemotherapy group（n=30）.All of them were treated for 3 months;For observation of long-term therapeutic effect

other 45 cases were divided into a TCM group（n=14）and a group of combined treatment of TCM and WM（n=31）.Results:For short-term therapeutic effect

TCM improved clinical symptoms and signs

and TCM combined with intervention-chemotherapy could significantly raise the stabilization rate of both the tumor focus and living quality.Kaplan-Meier analysis indicated no significant difference between the TCM group and the group of TCM combined with western medicine.Conclusion:The TCM method for invigorating Qi
