Objective To observe the clinical effect of Xiaotangping（Decrease Blood Sugar） Capsule on insulin resistance of diabetes Ⅱ.-Methods The 172 cases were randomized into the treatment group and control group.The treatment group was treated with oral taking Xiaotangping Capsule

3 capsules each time

3 times a day

and dimethylbiguanide 0.25g

twice a day.The control group was treated with oral taking the same dosage of dimethylbiguanide.The changes of blood sugar

blood plasma and insulin sensitivity index（ISI） of two groups before and after treatment were observed.Results After treatment

the fasting blood glucose（FBG）

postprandial blood sugar（2hPG）

glycosylated hemoglobin Alc（GHbAlc）

and insulin sensitivity index（ISI） of two groups were decreased（P<0.05 or P<0.01）.FBG

and GHbA1c of the treatment group were significantly lower than those of the control group（P<0.05）.In the treatment group

serum cholesterol（TC）

triglyceride（TG）

high density lipoprotein cholesterol（HDL-C）

low density lipoprotein-cholesterol（LDL-C）

and 24h urine microalbumin（mAlb） were greatly improved after treatment（P<0.05 or P<0.01）.But in the control group

only TC and 24h urine mAlb were significantly decreased after treatment（P<0.05）.-Conclusion Xiaotangping Capsule plus dimethylbiguanide can effectively improve blood sugar

blood fat and ISI of diabetes Ⅱ.
