Objective To observe the clinical effect of Jiedu Tongmai Powder（Powder for dispelling toxins and removing obstruction of meridians）combined with Weinong Zhangrou Plaster（Plaster for dissolving pus to promote muscle growing）on diabetic foot ulcer.Methods Fifty-one diabetic foot cases were randomized into treatment group of 24 cases and control group of 27 cases.Based on the basic treatment

the treatment group was administered Jiedu Tongmai Powder and with Weinong Zhangrou Plaster for external application

and the control group was administered placebo granule and with Jinsanlian（containing Gentamicin

Anisodamine and Insulin）for external application.The ulcer healing and the changes in glycosylated hemoglobin（GHb）

cholesterol

white blood cell（WBC）

C-reactive protein（CRP）

and fibrinogen（Fib）of the two groups before and after treatment were observed.Results The total cure and remarkably effective rate of ulcer healing in the treatment group was 95.8%

significantly higher than 66.7% of the control group（P<0.05）.After treatment

the GHb

cholesterol

WBC

CRP

and Fib of the two groups were significantly lowered（P<0.05）

and the GHb

WBC

and CRP in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group（P<0.05）.Conclusion Jiedu Tongmai Powder combined with Weinong Zhangrou Plaster is effective for diabetic foot ulcer.
