Objective To analyze the distribution and development of Chinese medicine syndrome in patients with coronary heart disease ( CHD ) before and after percutaneous coronary intervention ( PCI ) in recent 30years.Methods According to the searching strategy
the literature on Chinese medicine syndrome before and after PCI were searched in a database
China National Knowledge Infrastructure ( CNKI ) in recent 30years.The literature information was extracted and the syndrome characteristics of CHD patients before and after PCI were analyzed according to the syndrome factors. Results Totally 22articles were included and 4211cases were involved.Blood stasis syndrome
qi deficiency syndrome and phlegm turbidity syndrome were main syndromes of CHD both before and after PCI.Excess syndromes such as blood stasis
qi stagnation
cold congealing and heat brewing descended significantly after PCI ( P<0.01 ) .Deficiency syndromes such as qi deficiency
yang deficiency and yin deficiency ascended significantly after PCI ( P<0.01 ) .Conclusion Blood stasis syndrome
phlegm turbidity syndrome and qi deficiency syndrome are main syndromes of CHD both before and after PCI
but changing to deficiency syndrome from excess syndrome after PCI in general.
