Objective To study the molecular mechanism of Xiyanping Injection( Andrographolide) for H1N1 influenza A with bioinformatics methods. Methods Target proteins of Andrographolide were searched in PubChem and the related genes of H1N1 influenza A were search in NCBI Gene Database online. The data sets were uploaded to IPA bioinformatics software. Molecular networks and canonical pathways were compared and analyzed with Ingenuity Pathway Analysis( IPA). Results There were 9 target proteins of Andrographolide and 22 related genes of H1N1 influenza A. Their common molecules were Akt

Hsp27
PI3K
ERK1 /2
NFkB
Proteasome
caspase

and Vegf. The network functions of Andrographolide were mostly associated with the cell cycle
embryonic development
and cell-to-cell signaling and interaction. The network functions of H1N1 influenza A were mostly associated with infectious diseases
inflammatory response and immunological diseases. Their common pathways were cell immune pathways. Andrographolide could regulate AKT and NF-κB. Conclusion Xiyanping Injection is effective for H1N1 influenza A possibly by regulating AKT and NF-κB of cell immune pathways.
