environmental constrain theory and genetic endowment theory are the starting point and theoretical basis of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) constitution research. From the perspective of the 4 basic principles
this paper summarized the representative empirical research results in recent years and its implications for future research directions. It was proposed that the development of constitution with age showed certain regularity
and it could carry out TCM constitutional intervention for people of different ages to promote the constitutional health management work covering the whole life process. The physiological status of human population quality was mutually affected its psychological state. When interfering with constitution regulation
it is necessary not only to intervene in the physiological state of the unbalanced constitution
but also to pay attention to the psychological adjustment of the unbalanced constitution. The geographical environment
diet composition
living habits
etc. can all have certain constraints to the constitution. When carrying out constitutional intervention
we must focus on improving their behavioral lifestyle
and conditioning from diet
exercise
sleep
etc.
to promote the neutral constitution. The influence of congenital genetic factors on constitution is relatively stable and relatively difficult to change
but by means of encouraging breastfeeding and encouraging childbearing at an appropriate age
it also can improve the health of the body to a certain extent.
