The earliest understanding of the nature of disease in traditional Chinese medicine( TCM) can be seen in the Inner Canon of Yellow Emperor( 《黄帝内经》)
that is
"only when yin is at peace and yang is compact can essence-spirit be normal"
which means the best state of health of the human body. Afterwards modern western medicine has gradually proposed "homeostasis"
and from the overall level
organ level
tissue level
cell and molecular level of the steady-state system of the human body for further demonstration. Analysis from the similarities and differences of TCM and western medicine on the " homeostasis"
the self-stabilization regulation level and mechanism of the body
and the self-stable adjustment of human and natural environment and social environment
it is considered that " homeostasis"can be used as a hub of TCM and western medicine thinking integration.
