Objective To explore the effects of Qigong baduanjin exercise on quality of life
cancer-related fatigue and immune function in patients with postoperative rehabilitation of gastrointestinal malignant tumors. Methods According to the inclusion standard
a total of 92 patients with postoperative rehabilitation of gastrointestinal malignant tumors were randomly divided into an intervention group and a control group
with 46 cases in each group. The control group received symptomatic
nutritional support and other conventional drug treatment and care
and the intervention group received 6-month Baduanjin training based on the control group. Before and after the intervention
the score of quality of life
the degree of cancer-related fatigue and the immune function indexes were compared
and the adverse reactions and complications were recorded. Results A total of 82 patients completed the study
including 42 patients in the intervention group and 40 patients in the control group. Before intervention
there was no statistically significant difference in the scores of all dimensions of quality of life between groups(P>0.05). After intervention
there was statistically significant difference in scores of emotional function
overall quality of life
fatigue
insomnia and loss of appetite(P<0.05)
while there was statistially significant difference in scores of fatigue
loss of appetite in the control group. After intervention
the emotional function
overall quality of life
fatigue
and insomnia scores of between groups were significantly different(P<0.05)
but there was no statistically significant difference in the immune function indexes(P>0.05). The degree of cancer-related fatigue in the intervention group was significantly improved after intervention(P<0.05)
and the difference between groups was statistically significant(P<0.05). No adverse reactions and complications occurred in both groups. Conclusion Qigong baduanjin can improve the quality of life and cancer-related fatigue of postoperative patients with gastrointestinal malignant tumors.
