Professor WANG Xinzhi′s treatment of emotional diseases starts from a holistic view. Combined whole body with the local parts
he sums up that emotional disease is actually a series of functional changes of the organs caused by the abnormal movement of the qi after the body is stimulated by passion. He proposes the pathological development process of "emotion-qi movement-Zang-fu viscera-qi movement". The treatment focuses on "qi"
and it is often matched with Jiegeng(Radix Platycodonis) and Chuan Niuxi(Radix Cyathulae) based on Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction(血府逐瘀汤). It can be used for qi up and down
and dispelling obstruction of qi and blood
which can smoothly and orderly adjust the whole body′s qi movement and Zang-fu Viscera function.
