Professor ZHENG Jian′s clinical experience in the treatment of children with allergic rhinitis is summarized. Combining the physiological and pathological characteristics of children

allergic rhinitis is divided into attack stage and remission stage. During the attack stage

the lung meridian hidden pathogen is the key to the pathogenesis. The treatment is to dispel wind and ventilate lung qi

and to unblock stuffy orifice and remove blood stasis. Xingbi Xuanqiao Decoction（醒鼻宣窍汤） is used as the basic prescription; during the remission stage

the existence of qi deficiency with wind-phlegm is considered

and the treatment is to invigorate lung and benefit qi

invigorate spleen and warm kidney

dispel pathogenic wind and eliminate phlegm. Modified Yupingfeng Powder（玉屏风散） or Modified Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction（黄芪桂枝五物汤） is chosen as the basic prescription for treatment.
